According to a press release issued on Friday, PM Nawaz telephoned Zardari and invited him for a meeting in Raiwind today.
Zardari accepted the invitation and is paying a visit to Raiwind along with Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Leader of Opposition in the Senate Aitezaz Ahsan and Parliamentary Leader PPP in Senate Mian Raza Rabbani. PML-N leaders Khawaja Asif and Ishaq Dar will also attend the meeting.
Zardari would return to Karachi the same evening after spending a busy day in Lahore. He would also hold talks with Chaudhry Shujaat and Pervaiz Elahi at their residence. He would also visit Mansoora where he would hold a meeting with Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul- Haq.
Both the leaders are expected to hold a news conference after the meeting which will take place in the backdrop of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests in Islamabad.

Woods misses Quail Hollow cut as Watney leads the way
(CNN) -- Tiger Wood missed the cut at Quail Hollow in his first tournament since a disappointing showing at the U.S. Masters.
A second round one-over 73 Friday left him level par 144 for the PGA Tour event, one outside the cut line.
The former world number one was left to rue a routine four-foot birdie putt on his penultimate hole and he took 33 putts in total in a disappointing showing on the greens.
It was only the eighth time in 267 starts as a professional that Woods will have failed to qualify for the final two rounds.

I will resign if i convicted: Yousuf Raza Gillani
Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that he will step down if the Supreme Court convicts him in contempt case.
Talking to Al Jazeera television, Gilani said President Zardari was member of the Parliament and he was elected by the four provincial assemblies, senate and National Assembly.
He said that President Zardari had immunity in Pakistan and around the world.
He said that only the democratic government was running the country, adding that he had good relations with the military.
Talking about Abbottabad operation he said he was of the view that the CIA conducted Abbottabad operation in coordination with the ISI so termed it as great victory. He said he later informed that the operation was a unilateral.(the news tribe)

Dr. Muhammad Qaiser appointed as VC Karachi University
Karachi: Governor Sindh and Chancellor of Karachi University, Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad has appointed Professor Dr Muhammad Qaiser as new vice-chancellor (VC) of Karachi University.
According to a notification issued here on Thursday, Dr. Qaiser will performed their duties as new VC for four years.
Earlier on January 4, Pirzada Qasim had gotten extension for temporary basis for his post and it was expecting that he will get permanent extension but suddenly Governor House notified regarding the appointment of new VC.
